The DAGS Kona District Office Baseyard project supports Department of Accounting and General Services maintenance operations for state-owned (non-school) public buildings on the Kona side of the Big Island. The nearly one-acre site is located on Kuakini Highway above Keauhou Bay. The 11,260 square foot complex contains carpentry, paint, masonry, plumbing and electrical shops and lumber storage, with separate structures for offices and flammable materials storage. Provisions were made for a future mezzanine in the shop building, which will also have deep protective canopies over the entry doors.  A mix of covered and uncovered parking will be provided for 17 vehicles.  The DAGS Kona District Baseyard is a LEED® Gold certified project.
